Things I Love

I have to admit, I just love Christmas. I love the parties, the festivities, the pomp, the circumstance, the general feeling of good tidings. But, moreover, I love the festoonery. The world looks better during Christmas. Bows, ribbons, blinking lights and smiling faces; street musicians dusting off their holiday hymns, and the seasonal warm drinks. It puts me, a person known, perhaps, for being in an otherwise dark spirit, in a good mood.

Saturday morning I fly back to Spokane. But, before that, I have had one holiday party at my apartment (check flickr for picutres) which was a resounding success. I managed to help ship our latest software release at work, all without relative incident... a minor hiccup, sure, but otherwise smooth), and personally (and, to which I will not go into detail) I've put some personal demons to bed. They're still demons, sure, but they slumber, and whilst they do so I remain unperturbed.

In short, things are all right.

There is no major news to speak of. There are no personal scoops or, hell, for that matter, even salient details. But that's ok. Things are ok, and, arguably, better than they were not too long ago.

So.

Perhaps nothing more needs to be said.
