Oh Dear Sweet Jesus my head

Thursday night was a night of much celebration. Work threw a party to celebrate the big release we managed to get out despite our best efforts (I did my part by throwing my birthday bash the night before our early morning release.). Let me just say this, an open bar is an extremely dangerous thing. Also, given the enthusiasm that my coworkers and I can attack a bar, I'm very curious to know how much Thursday's shindig cost. It was held at The Cigar Bar in North Beach in San Francisco.

Boy howdy.

But then, of course, there were the side effects, all of which were on ample display Friday morning. Well, afternoon. A lot of people (myself included) weren't really able to roll into the office until, oh, early to mid-afternoon. Go Us! And then I discovered that I left my credit card at The Cigar Bar (oops) and now I need to go get it.

Anyway, Friday was pretty much wasted on everything. But I'm feeling much better now. But seriously, oh my dear sweet jesus, I have not had a hangover that bad in a long time. But, one good that came out of it was that I spent much of last night watching the first season of Penn & Teller's "Bullshit" show. I'm currently watching their anit-hippie episode. It entertains me.

Oh yeah, and there was some wicked thunder last night. It seriously woke me up at like 5 or 6 this morning and one peal around 9-ish quite literally shook my house. San Francisco just does not get thunder loud enough to mimic an earthquake. But it does completely explain the weather yesterday. All day I felt like it was cool but muggy. It reminded me of waking up in the morning when I was camping in the mountains in Washington. I enjoyed the day. I did not especially enjoy waking up at 5 AM to rain and thunder, however.
