My Dogs are Barking (arf!)

Phase 1 of my Happy Fun Birthday Times birthday extravaganza was last night. The Tacos were delicious, though I think I ate too many and suffered the consequences. The bars were fun, and the crawl was amazingly on schedule. We didn't make it to the 500 club, however, since the crowd had kind of thinned out by midnight and many of us were too tired (and slightly inebriated) that calling it an early night seemed like a good idea. Plus, did I mention I ate too many tacos? Man, were the good, though.

Phase 2 of my birthday extravaganza is set to occur on Tuesday afternoon at the Rickhouse in downtown San Francisco. There is some grumbling about my decision to do this, largely from work folks, who keep pointing out that we're doing a massive server deploy on Wednesday morning. So, that will be interesting. I'm not overly concerned, however, since the Rickhouse is not the sort of place you get trashed at, but is more the type of place where you savor an expertly made cocktail, largely of the whiskey or gin variety.

Oh, and my feet are killing me. I'm in dire need of new shoes (as I believe I've mentioned before) and, it turns out, that when you a do taco/bar crawl the crawling part of the evening involves a lot of walking.

Man, those were good tacos.
